“Having a regular respite break to do things most people take for granted is great. Knowing that I feel safe and can trust individuals to look after my husband without getting stressed is a blessing. The respite I receive gives me time to spoil myself, meet my friends and have some quality time outside my full time caring.”
Care Quality Commission (CQC)
We provide regulated and non-regulated care all year round and are registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Trauma Informed Project
Our Trauma-Informed Approach
We are proud to be a trauma-informed organisation, dedicated to delivering compassionate, community-based care that respects the dignity, independence, and well-being of unpaid carers and those they support.
Our commitment to trauma-informed principles ensures that our services are sensitive to the signs of trauma, fostering a safe and supportive environment for all.
We have been awarded the Bronze Quality Mark for Trauma Awareness, recognising our commitment to integrate trauma-informed practices across our services.
This award reflects our ongoing work to raise awareness of trauma-informed care and align it with our core referral pathways, ensuring that every interaction is empathetic and tailored to individual needs.
Central to our mission is the development of a trauma-informed workforce. Our workforce has undertaken trauma training to recognise the signs of trauma and deliver care that promotes healing and resilience.
This initiative is led by our Trauma-Informed Programme Manager, Sharon, and supported by our Trauma-Informed Therapist, Tracey, who together ensure that trauma-informed principles are embedded in all aspects of our work.
We integrate trauma-informed care into our full range of services, including:
Personalised care packages, from 30-minute visits to 24/7 support.
Respite breaks for unpaid carers and parent carers.
Trauma-informed counselling for unpaid carers, delivered by our specialist team.
Volunteer befriending and community activities to combat isolation.
Each service is designed to be flexible, responsive, and aligned with a Care & Support Plan tailored to individual needs, ensuring safety and consistency through risk-assessed tasks.
