Prevention & Early Intervention Service

Are you an adult over 18 caring for someone living in Bexley who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction could not cope without your support?

A carer’s assessment will give you an opportunity to discuss what support or services you need from the council. The assessment will look at how caring affects your life, including for example, your physical, mental and emotional needs, and whether you are able or willing to carry on caring.

The London Borough of Bexley are the gatekeeper (owner) of this service and any referrals and allocated hours are agreed by them. We are required to provide the names and addresses of people who contact us for this service together with details of any other services you receive. If the council agree to fund this service then they will contact us and ask us to arrange a visit to come and meet with you at a mutually convenient time.

Once we have undertaken an assessment we will look to identify an appropriate member of staff to be introduced to you.

If you have any questions about this service then please contact the office on 01322 336086 or email us at
